Joe Miller


Executive Chef | Owner

Chef Joe started working in the industry at age fourteen with a locally owned restaurant and catering business. Here, he learned the values of welcoming all and the importance of warm hospitality. Chef Joe was professionally trained at Ivy Tech which included studies in France. He also apprenticed and competed in culinary competitions with Chef Alex Darvichi in California, New York and Germany. He then served as the Executive Chef at a premiere Midwest country club for twenty years where he continued his education studying food and wine in Napa Valley and New York City. Chef Joe focused on the values of honoring the details and serving the very best to the private sector’s elite. Being a husband and father of five children has taught him to Enjoy the Moment! Taking all these values from work and life, the Miller family invites you to join them at Our Table.

 

Tanya Smith


Executive Pastry Chef | Baker

Tanya (Kessenich) Smith was born and raised in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. She grew up in a family of seven – her parents, three sisters and one brother. Tanya graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mercer University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, while also playing Division I basketball. Before moving to Indianapolis, Tanya was an accountant for a fine-dining and catering company in Milwaukee, WI. Here she worked closely with managers and chefs on the financial side of the business, but soon caught the spark of the culinary realm. After three years in the accounting department, Tanya decided to move from the business world into the kitchen. She relocated to Indianapolis and went back to school at the Art Institute to get her associate’s degree in Baking and Pastry. While there, Tanya started working for Circle City Sweets in downtown Indianapolis. She quickly moved her way up to Head Baker. Here she focused on French-style baking, making a variety of pastries including croissants, macarons, entremets, breads, etc. Tanya was with the company for over 10 years before deciding to accept the position as Executive Pastry Chef at Our Table. She currently resides on the Southside of Indianapolis with her husband, Eric.
